Dj Reika, who was known as Erica-Dj, was initiate in 1999, when experienced a psytrance gathering outside of La Paz city, “It was an extraordinary experience”. At that same time, she founds out that expanding psytrance culture in Bolivia was her mission, so this culture can be recognized and known all over Bolivia. “Let´s open our mind to a new change where music is the best way to comunicate with eachothers” Her conection with trance music and different styles in it, allowed her to identify her own and create new psytrance sounds. “Expanding psytrance culture is the key to change the world” and right there is when her mission began. Dj Reika runed a radio show which was on air for three consecutive years, that show began the ground for psytrance scene in Bolivia. In the year 2000 her radio show starts it work as psytrance party organizer with participation of many bolivian and international Djs.
With many years of experience organizing events Dj Reika started her Dj carreer when made her 1st presentation in La Paz with a style that went from progressive trance to night trance, her audience gave her total support and since 2001 she is been invited to play in many psytrance parties in, and outside Bolivia, being part of international events in Peru, Argentina, Brasil, etc. At that same growing time (year 2001), Dj Reika joined Dj Erofex and together they built Neurotrance productions. Her main influences at that time were: Azax Syndrome, Absolum, Penta, hyper frequencies & shift. In 2007 Reika co-worked on “V.A. Andes Trip”, choosing the best southamerican artists for the compilation and organized the tracklist for this bolivian psytrance compilation.
For 2008 she starts her career as an artist and is planning to realease her own productions very soon, she is also worked with “V.A. Messengers” production by Neurotrance. Reika, will keep encouraging psytrance scene in Bolivia and will also represent Bolivia in international stages. “Bolivian people, specially from La Paz, has a very good psytrance music taste, is super hyper in parties and is willing to keep on dancing and always willing to go anywhere to party!, Thank you All!!”.
